I want to especially thank you for the gentle, caring way you share your story—God has taught you so much over the years, but it is obvious that your wheelchair isn't a "bully pulpit," the platform that showcases grace and humility. God bless you for showing us what's best about being broken. Hebrews 6:10 "for God is not unjust: he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them...I always say, people stories will not change lives, but a personal testimony infused with Scripture will. So go for it :-)"

Best When Broken by Scott Coleman

Best When Broken by Scott Coleman

At 17, I was living a charmed life, and on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, I found myself face flat in the water, paralyzed from the neck down after having taken a deep dive in shallow water while skiing. I was certain that I was headed straight to eternity, yet I was completely astonished at what I was thinking.

Best When Broken: Even the Young Grow Weary and Tired, and Young Men Stumble and Fall is the testimony of my life. But is it possible to write a book about my life, and communicate the truth that the story is not about me? I would not have a story if it were not for the Grace of God, and the grace given to me by the people He has put in my path.
